Guest guest
I just had my adrenals checked and they told me they were fine. The test took over an hour. The drew my blood for a base, then injected me with cortisol. Then they drew by blood 30 minutes later and then again another 30 minutes later. So now that I know that my adrenals are fine how should I begin taking the T3 that I bought (ti-Tre) . I have tried it before but was not taking it in any kind of orderly fashion. I just took it eagerly hoping it was the magic pill. Any advice on how I should take it? THanks,
Guest guest
that was a Stim test and it isn;'t cortisol they inject it si synthetic ACTh, then they chck cortils levels. It si nto a good test for adrenal fatigue an dis used loking for 's. If oyu can post the numbers I can maybe help with an interpretation. NORMAL is not a lab result! Please don't ever let doctors tell you your results are normal. My thyroid was normal as I was dying of myxedema Coma. Best test for cortisl status is an adrenal stress inedx which is a saliva test that tests cortisll four times in the day as the levels hould fluctuate in a pattern from high in the AM to low at night. You can order your own at www.canaryclub.org but if you want to try the T3 without thisyou certainly can just be very careful as if your adrenals ARE weak, t3 can crash them and make you quite ill. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Yes, you are right. That is indeed what they gave me. I have done an empireical trial hc prior to the test. I found that it didn't agree with me and it kept me up at night so i discontinued it. (5 mg) I theorized that if my body needed it I would be much more receptive to it. You are also right in the fact that I shouldnt listen to a god damn thing these ********* say to me because the dont know ****! I went to one of the top hospitals in the country and the 2 endos both disregarded my temperature charts, even though some days I wake below 95 degrees. I told them hypothermia starts at 95 degress but they ignored me. Arrogant *****! Regardless, I am still stuck and dont know what to do. I would like to try straight T3 again but have not done well on my previous attempt. When you say my adrenals will crash what does this mean. P.S. I dont have a copy of the results yet all they did was tell me that the results were normal and that my adrenals were fine. Its sad but when they told me my thyroid was fine and that it had to be something else they couldnt put anything else on the table to explore except neurological. Arrogance creates ignorance! > > that was a Stim test and it isn;'t cortisol they inject it si synthetic > ACTh, then they chck cortils levels. Guest guest
Val is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo right. If you learn nothing else here is that when someone says you're normal that means nothing. Always get copies of everything. I just had my adrenals checked and they told me they were fine. The test took over an hour. The drew my blood for a base, then injected me with cortisol. Guest guest
I would try to get the cortisol saliva test done on yoiur own. I can heloyou with interpreting it. Also you need a Ferritin test. there are links in our Links section where yo can order your own labs. Cortiosl and ferritin issues are the most common problems with nto being able to tolerate T3. Just because 5mg HC did nto agree wiht you fdoes nto exclude oyu needing it. Sometimes it can take a couple months of carefule dose titration to adjust HC where it si right for you in proper rythm which si why the saliva labs are so helpful. you also might have high cortiosl which is also detrimental to utilizing thyroid or jst a slight lwo C problems whihc might require herbals and Isocort. Knwing what the problem is and how bad it is is essential to knowing how to proceed. In my signature line is another group i moderate for adrneal issues. if your saliva indicates troubeo there I would recommend oyu join a I have many links on that grouop and alot of other folks to help you out wiht treating it which can be tricky. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
I would start it the lowest you can break the pills reliably. If they are 20mcg start with 10mcg if they are 25mcg you maybe able to quarter them. Starting lwo and building uop by addingin a second dose around noon in 3-4 days is easiest on your system. Then you add in a third odse and a fourth. I find t3 seems to agree with me best with at least 4 times a day dosing. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
Ok so if i understand correctly I should break my 20mcg pills up into half and start with 10 mcg. Hold that for 3-4 days and then add in a second dose of 10 mcg later in the day. Hold for another 3-4 days and add in another 10mcg during the daying now totalling 30 mcg total a day etc etc etc until I reach my desired dose. Is this correct? > > I would start it the lowest you can break the pills reliably. If they > are 20mcg start with 10mcg if they are 25mcg you maybe able to quarter > them. Guest guest
yes but you may have to go slower than that. Up to about 50mcg a day you shoudl be able to raise pretty quickyl thne slwo the raises to evyre 10-14 days. Watch pulse and temps to see they do nto go too high -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
