Good Morning ,

I'm glad it's over for you both. He'll have some tough days, for a

few, but will be up and doing fine soon, I'm sure. As a former

patient, and also a Nurse, I encourage you to walk lots, and a stool

softener should be in the daily regimen, to avoid the struggles with

that first bowel movement. If he's not getting one, ask for it from

the doc. Just tell him/her a " nurse " friend recommended it to you.

More recommendations later re: cath care, to help him be more

comfortable in the week or so ahead. Keep me posted.
