Guest guest
Good evening, Just a quick posting to say that my precious husband had his prostate out this afternoon. He did very well, and his doc was very pleased. My husband used to work at the hospital as a chaplain, so he saw a number of old friends and they reminisced. I know he enjoyed that part. This evening he was stood up for a minute or so at his doc's orders. He was able to stand for a bit and then sat on the edge of the bed, after which he fainted. He became very dizzy, probably from the pain med and between the two nurses and our two kids he was lowered back onto the bed. After a minute or so, some oxygen, and a cool wash cloth, he was sound asleep. His pain seems to be pretty well under control. He had dozed off and on for several hours, but didn't want to sleep. His great adventure of standing really took it out of him. We kissed him good night and came home. So, we've made it this far. Tomorrow is another day. His doc will be in about noon, and I plan to be there at that time. All in all, so far so good.
