Guest guest
Hi, My name is and my son is 11. We've had one visit with our DAN! doc. The supplements and meds she has prescribed based on testing ordered by another doc and pursuant to tests she ordered and received back so far that we've yet to implement are: Rx glutathione creme Carnosine Increase in CLO Increase in zinc monolauren (for high mumps titer) Secretin Diflucan Valtrex He's currently taking: Kirkman Labs vitamins, probiotics (Threelac), Intestamend, MB12 spray, CLO, zinc, fish oil, DMG w/B12 and Folinic Acid, and Kirkman Labs glutathione cream. I've read that we should have the Diflucan, along with activated charcoal, started before beginning the Valtrex, but for what length of time ? Also, any ideas as far as the order that I should introduce the above supplements/meds or does it matter? I was told by our DAN! doc to wait about 3-4 days before introducing each supplement, but I'm anxious to get everything going. Would I have to wait to increase the CLO and zinc, since he's already taking them in lower dosages? We're to double the CLO b/c his Vit. D was deficient and increase the zinc by 20 mg/day. Also, his lipids were high, and we are instructed to increase DHA (fish oil) which I've increased to 3 soft gels of Carlson's Super DHA per day (totalling 1500 mg). Is there an amount of fish oil/DHA that I shouldn't exceed? Last question (for now~ [] )...since the Rx glutathione creme isn't covered by insurance, would I achieve the same purpose by getting the reduced L-glutathione in capsule form, in the same dosage, and mixing it in with some organic lotion and applying that instead? Thank you in advance!
Guest guest
Hi and welcome.. I will answer some of your ?? below in caps. Good luck! Moderator > > > Hi, > > My name is and my son is 11. JM AND OTHERS RECOMMEND ALSO GIVING FLAGYL FOR BACTERIA OR AT LEAST A STRONG NATURAL. I'D ASK MY DAN! ABOUT THIS SO THAT YOU DO NOT GET INTO GUT ISSUES > > > Valtrex > NO EXPERIENCE WITH THIS > He's currently taking: Kirkman Labs vitamins, probiotics (Threelac), > Intestamend, > MB12 spray, CLO, zinc, fish oil, DMG w/B12 and Folinic Acid, and > Kirkman Labs glutathione cream. > > I've read that we should have the Diflucan, along with activated > charcoal, started before beginning the Valtrex, but for what length of > time ? I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS. CHECK YOUR COPY OF CSB BY DR. JM TO SEE IF I MISSED IT (COULD HAVE SINCE WE DID NOT USE VALTREX). BUT YOU DO NOT WANT TO GIVE ACTIVATED CHARCOAL ALONG WITH ANYTHING AT EXACT SAME TIME. IT WILL " GRAB " ANYTHING YOU TAKE IT WITH AND IN MY OPINION YOU NEED TO GIVE IT A WHILE AFTER THE DIFFLUCAN IF YOU GIVE IT AT ALL. I AM NOT SURE WHY YOU ARE BEING GIVEN THE CHARCOAL ON REGULAR BASIS SINCE IT CAN DEPLETE " GOOD STUFF " AS WELL AS BAD BUT TRUSTING YOUR DAN! HAS A PLAN HERE THAT IS BEYOND MY KNOWLEDGE BASE! > > Also, any ideas as far as the order that I should introduce the above > supplements/meds or does it matter? I WOULD GIVE AN INCREASE A COUPLE OF DAYS TO BE SURE IT IS TOLERATED. IT IS WISE TO NOT START MORE THAN ONE THING AT A TIME. IF YOU DO AND HAVE BAD REACTION, YOU WILL SPEND EVEN MORE TIME FIGURING OUT WHICH ITEM CAUSED THE PROBLEMS. YOU WILL SAVE TIME IN THE LONG RUN BY LEAVING A FEW DAYS BETWEEN EACH NEW SUPPLEMENT INTRODUCED IN MY HUMBLE OPINION (THOUGH I KNOW IT IS HARD TO BE PATIENT AND DO THIS!) > > Also, his lipids were high, and we are instructed to increase DHA (fish > oil) which I've increased to 3 soft gels of Carlson's Super DHA per day > (totalling 1500 mg). I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMPOUNDING YOUR OWN GHS. IT IS NOT THAT EXPENSIVE FROM COASTAL OR WELLNESS AND YOU MIGHT ALSO CONSIDER ESSENTIAL GLUTATHIONE AT WELLNESS WHICH HAS VERY GOOD TRACK RECORD FOR ABSORPTION. MOST ORAL GSH IS NOT WELL ABSORBED AND IS LESS EFFICIENT. I WOULD EITHER DO ORAL ESSENTIAL GSH OR DO THE TD FROM REPUTABLE PHARMACY....IT 'S TOO IMPORTANT FOR MOST CHILDREN TO RISK NOT HAVING A HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT (AGAIN IN MY NON PROFESSIONAL, HUMBLE OPINION!) > > Thank you in advance! > > > > > >
