Okay guys, I went to the Festival of Trees Open House today and I'm psyched

to do this CHARGE tree!

For those of you who don't know or need a reminder, we are doing a tree to

benefit Primary CHildren's Medical Center in SLC at the Festival of Trees

and we are dedicating it to CHARGE syndrome. The tree will be auctioned and

the proceeds help kids at the hospital. I finally know what we are going to

do and what I need from you!

We are going to do a tree in the Foundation's colors of blue and gold w/ a

star theme and we are going to put things under the tree that our kids like.

I am going to write up a basic thing on CHARGE for people to read about as

they come by and hopefully teach a few more about this syndrome.

HERE'S WHAT I NEED FROM YOU....

We are making ornaments out of our kids' pictures to hang on the tree. I

need everyone who wants to, to send me a picture of your child that is

wallet size or can be trimmed down to be wallet size. This will be made into

an ornament (we are still bouncing around a few ideas on how we will do

this) and sold w/the tree, so you will not be getting the picture back. If

you want to send me a good copy, that is fine. As long as I can clearly see

your child's face! Please give me the first name of your child (this will be

put on the ornament) and write in a sentence of 10 WORDS OR LESS something

neat or positive about your child (ie, has a beautiful smile) or

something they can do ( is an incredible swimmer!). We want to put

these sentences on the back of the ornament w/the child's picture. So many

people, when they read about this syndrome, think it is just a death

sentence for our kids and I want them to see they can still do so many

things!

WHERE TO SEND IT...

Unfortunately, I do not have the computer technology to receive these

pictures by email. So, I will have to resort to snail mail. I will hope that

by placing my address on this list, it will only be used for this purpose!!

PLEASE SEND ME YOUR PICTURES NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 1!!! We will need this

much time to gather everything and create the ornaments. If something is

preventing you from getting it to me by then, email me and we'll work

something out. Here is my address....
