Guest guest
I'm still here! Just kidding! So speaking of movies, here are two that made me blubber like a baby. Both are rated G, maybe PG?The first was " Pictures of Hollis Woods " a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie that was on before Christmas. My 11 year old son and I cried throughout. The second was " Bridge to Tarabithia " , while I thought this was a sci-fi/fantasy movie it's far from it.I don't want to say much so I don't give anything away. So if you need to clear the ol' tear ducts out, rent either of these! Hi Group, I want to share a couple of things with you. Gregg and I went to see " The Bucket List " on Monday. It is not a great movie and I tend to agree with the reviewer in our paper who gave it a C. I expected a more light hearted movie. When I expressed this to Gregg, he replied, " You knew it was about a couple of terminal patients. " Anyway, Gregg cried throughout. I guess it was cathartic. It was unnerving for me. The man is such a rock. The second thing is that Gregg was out and about buying parts etc. for his new Triumph Rocket and his 57 Chevy. While at the classic car parts store another customer just kind of blurted out, " I have prostate cancer. " He had just found out a short time before. Gregg shook his hand and said, " Welcome to the club " , and proceeded to give him the short version of his choice to go to Loma for protons. So they will be in touch via email. The man is 64 years old and is covered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield, so if he chooses to go with protons he will be covered. He said something to Gregg about their meeting being no accident. I certainly don't think it was. The list has been quieter than usual. I guess it tends to wax and wane like everything else.
