Guest guest
Steve, Kathy didn't write the information, she posted the Science Daily article. You are seeing as much as she did since the article didn't provide any further information than was posted. As advocates we research and/or monitor several internet accessible sites regarding prostate cancer, then pass on information that could be of interest or concern. If the information raises questions to a reader not answered in what was provided, then my best suggestion is "do further research." Guest guest
See http://www.medpagetoday.com/PrimaryCare/AlternativeMedicine/tb/7960 It is the best I can do. The supplement has been pulled from the market but it sounds as if there may be similar supplements available. Guest guest
There was also a book entitled: " Better Sex Through Chemistry: A Guide to the New Prosexual Drugs " (Paperback, 1995) by Dan Joy, Morgenthaler. It covered the use of testosterone building herbs, suppliments and etc among other things reportedly to boost sex drive or make sex better. I hope it has a disclaimer or warning in it that is bold enough to be noticed or heeded. Best, Mick -- Abilene, TX Update: Weeks 12 & 13 of training are now done. The schedule called for a 12 mile run and an 18 mile run on Saturdays and totalled 29 and 36 miles throughout those weeks (I usually rest up for a day or two after the long runs). I am not particularly fast, but I generally enjoy making the starting line and to the finish line as well. In the coming weeks the mileage will grow to 33 & 40 before it starts tapering down (prior to February event). The longest single stretch run will be 20 miles on Sat in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know first-aid or CPR, by chance? -- > > > ScienceDaily (Jan. 16, 2008) - Hormonal components in over-the- counter > > dietary supplements may promote the progression of prostate cancer and > > decrease the effectiveness of anti-cancer drugs, researchers at UT > > Southwestern Medical Center have discovered. > > Thanks to Kathy for her posting. > > My question is: exactly what supplements are involved? > > Regards, > > Steve J > > > > There are just two rules for this group > 1 No Spam > 2 Be kind to others > > Please recognise that Prostate Cancerhas different guises and needs > different levels of treatment and in some cases no treatment at all.
