Guest guest
>> needless to say, i ended up w/ a very soupy mixture that i had to pour very thinly into bread pans! i ended up w/three flat pieces of a baked something or another which i cut into square pieces >> Funny!! I thought I wasn't a great cook, but I know better now. I don't get my rolls to look " quite right " either (it mentions to flatten the tops so they resemble hamburger buns-NO WAY mine are too runny for that ) , but they turn out very tasty so I don't mind what they look like. Some put their rolls on jelly roll pans so that they look more bread-like than rolls. Dawn in SC
Guest guest
I used to get better volume by hand, I guess I'm afraid to overwhip with the beater...not sure adria > Vander Wert wrote: > > Oh, Ang, tell me you weren't trying to get stiff peaks without a real > good mixer. Guest guest
What kind of mixer did you use? What kind of bowl? How long did you mix them? I have a regular hand held mixer (but my birthday is November 10th and I have shown everyone the one I want at walmart.... A fake kitchenaid...made by sunbeam for $74). I also have found that using a glass bowl makes all the difference! It takes me about 7-9 minutes depending on how warm the kithchen is. For no more than you would be using it you could buy a mixer for about $10 and a bowl for $2-$4. You really should give yourself another chance. :)Kathy
