Guest guest
What happens to the T4 if it isn't converted in Armour if you have RT3? Or is it that it *is* converted and not used? Trying to get a handle on this. I just asked my doctor to test me for RT3. Guest guest
When T4 is not utilized and starts to build too high inthe body it si converted to RT3. I usually see it hih from this cause when Free t4 hits over 1.4. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
yes you r RT3 is too high but it is not from too high thyrodi dose but from inability to proces the thyroi dthat is in your body from either low or high cortilsl or low Ferritin. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Yes I have low cortisol. I made the mistake of lowering my isocort from 6 pills to 4 pills, shortly after upping armour(because I felt such energy, thought I didnt need it). So now Im back up to 6 isocort...feel better and will stay on that dose. Im hoping the rt3 problem will go away now on its own. If not my dr wants to give me a tiny bit of t3...not too much so my tsh doesnt go too much lower. she said I could cut back 1/4 grain armour ( from 21/2 to 21/4) AND add a bit more t3. Confusing since Im not sure how much t3...so as not to reduce my overall dose or raise too much. Guest guest
Ok the TSH that low means your body has more thyroid than it can utilize. I wish you luck with just adding in T3. I tried that for about 5 years with no results. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Oh, then if I do have too much thyroid..then maybe I will cut back some armour. Mt doctor says shes open to what I feel is best... Have you any thoughts on an appropriate amount of armour to cut and t3 add? Maybe my rt3 is high just because Im taking too much armour. But, the reason I rose from 21/4 to 21/2 was because I was feeling hypo symptoms...so go figure. Guest guest
BUT your labs say you are not on too much Armoru jst that your body can use what it has. You need to correct the probms that is preventing your body using thyroid correctly. I SDo believe we need to remove the source of T3 to correct the high Rt3 issues and that si ALL T4 even the amount in Armoru. The only thing that worked for me is stiopping Amrour and going to all T3 now two years later I am doing fineon Amrour but it si ticky going back on it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
