Guest guest
I have always been a proponent of the addition of a 5Alpha Reductase (5AR) inhibitor when androgen deprivation therapy is prescribed. This is additional information that recognizes the role of 5AR in prostate cancer development and that dutasteride/Avodart likely plays an important role in inhibiting both Type 1 and Type 2 5AR isoenzyme expression in that development. I have other information in my files that support that role. Type 1 and Type 2 5alpha-Reductase Expression in the Development and Progression of Prostate Cancer - Abstract http://tinyurl.com/2ax4wd .
