For example, our Dayshift Srs work 0600-1600 and our dayshift dispatchers work a 9 hr shift from 0630-1530. The Srs have at least 30mins prior to their shift reporting to prepare Dayshift briefing and deployment schedule decisions or adjustments. There are several ways to get information from prior shifts... Any significant activities are logged in CAD on a Daily Muster Form. There may be info posted on our Sign-Off Board which can be anything from procedural changes to Festival information. While the oncoming shift is in briefing, the off-going shift is still in the Control Room. Since we work 9 hour shifts, we have a one hour overlap built in. So while one shift is on their last hour, the next shift is in their briefing. Hope this answers your questions!
