Hi Val,

Sorry about this long post, but I want to give you as much info as possible.

About a month ago I hit the 8-9 week mark on T3 only. I was up to 90mcg of

Cytomel

and went hyper. I dropped the Cytomel down to 50mcg and upped my from 27.5 to

30.

For the next 2-3 weeks I was having palps and high pulse, with bp that dropped

upon

rising. Cut to last week, I had upped the HC to 40mg and started to feel

better. I have

since dropped it down to 35mg, and have been at 35 since Tuesday. Last Friday I

increased Cytomel by 5mcg, and have stayed there.

I had a conversation with my doctor the other day that left me lacking

confidence in my

plan to slowly ramp up the T3 again. He said that the high HC could be

suppressing my

thyroid, and that I could need less T3 and therefore less HC. I am afraid of

going hyper

again; however, I know that here we usually say that the HC uses up the T3, not

suppresses the thyroid.

Ever since I increased the T3 last Friday, my temps have been lower than they

were;

however, they've been pretty steady at 98 - 98.1 over the last few days. My

feet are

absolutely killing me, and my upper back and neck ache. And, today I was so

tired! I'm

thinking these are hypoT symptoms. I feel the most calm I've felt in a long

time at this

dose of HC - don't feel my usual anxiety, nervousness and irritability, so I

think I'm at a

good HC dose. However, I'm afraid to blow it, based on what my doc said, by

going higher

on the Cytomel and therefore risking going hyper again and hurting my adrenals.

So, I'm conflicted and need your help. Do I continue to carefully raise the

Cytomel? Or do

I drop the T3 down? I think the right thing to do is to raise the T3, but

again, my doc

shook my confidence...

Oh, also, BP has been rising when I stand.

Thanks, Val.
