Guest guest
My first neuro (the one that diagnosed my chiara) also told me that my all my symptoms were not related to the chiara. I am also an RN (a neuro RN at that). He laughed at me for thinking I was going to get rid of all my symptoms from surgery. He said " I quess you just one surgery and boom everything is better " . I said OF COURSE, what do you think. I have been having periods of extreme fatigue for 2 years. I have managed to work full time but sleep all the time that I am not at work. It had been diagnosed as fibromyalgia. I was so tired of sleeping through the weekend that I decided to go somewhere where I would be forced to stay awake. I went to a book store for several hours. When I started home I pulled out in front of a car and almost killed myself. I knew I was doing it but I couldn't stop myself like I wasn't really awake. My neurosurgeon had the idea that more of my symptoms would improve than the neuro did, but after surgery the neuro hit it right on the head. Only the sympotms he named improved. Debbie T.
