Same amount. (snip radiologist reports at variance with each other) The answer just might be as simple as this: Radiologists vary in their skills. (snip) > 3 January 2008 CT scan with contrast, and barium drink. Full body bone scan. Barium? I wonder why..... It should show the alimentary tract pretty well, though. This was what I call a nuke scan that involves injection of a mildly-radioactive solution, idle time to permit it to settle into the bones, then the scan. There will be higher uptake at metastases and healed injuries, for example. There is the bone mineral density scan, which I reckon is doubtful in this case. There is the MRI, which can show mets very well. I believe that it is much more reliable than a CT scan for bone mets, but am willing to be corrected. Although Lupron and flutamide (Eulexin) should have brought down the PSA and should affect the PCa cells involved in the mets and elsewhere. Also: Artemisinin is yet another Chinese herb. According to a website I checked, it is supposed to be effective in treating " digestive balance, gastrointestinal motility and sluggish digestion. " I don't see any relationship to cancer. Nice to see 's pixels again. I hope he'll rejoin us on the pcainaz sites. Regards, Steve J " Never -- never -- never give up! Never go gently. There will be plenty of gentle after we die, so until then, fight! Control the rhythms and tempo of the dance, even when you have to let the PCa dancing bear lead for awhile -- even when you have to wear the lead suit as you dance -- never let the bear set the rhythm and tempo of your dance with life -- when the bear finally takes control, it will be a very hollow feeling for him, because I will be gone -- dancing in a better place.
