Colin,

Although PSA tests are not prostate cancer

specific, a score as high as yours, especially when linked to a Gleason Score

of 8, is indicative of an aggressive form of the disease and, most likely,

advanced disease, with a strong possibility of metastasis.

Many of the men on this

List have early stage prostate cancer, so much of the discussion is on topics

that may not be of much help to you. There are however Mailing Lists where the

focus is on advanced prostate cancer and hormone therapies and I know that the

men on those sites will help you all they can. If you have not used a

Mailing List before you might find it helpful to go to http://www.yananow.net/FAQmailinglist.htm ; if you know about Lists and Forums then you

might join the Malecare an online support group for advanced prostate cancer

patients, at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/advancedprostatecancer/
