Guest guest
Had my second blood donation day before yesterday. Bad news is I did not get the pain relief the day after that I had the first time. Good news is my energy was way up, and I had a very good day anyway. I also had no dizziness whatsoever from the second draw. I may not have had enough water prior to the first one. And I was much less stressed for the second one, for the third I don't think I will need to stress dose 10 mg. I felt it was a bit much this time, though for the first, I needed every bit of it. Also bad news, I can't get a ferritin test until the next health fair in Sept 09. If that should change between now and then I would of course get tested. Otherwise, I will have to go by symptoms and how I feel. oh well, ya win some ya lose some, but I'm NOT paying $90 -$130 plus $70 for the ferritin test, when the office visit fee might be wasted as no guarantee any doc will actually order it at my request. The office visit charge for when I requested sex hormone panel was wasted, as the PA refused to order it. I don't have money to throw away like that. So, instead of getting ferritin tested, since that left me the cost of the lab ahead, I ordered a blood glucose meter and supplies, which I have been wanting for over a year, but didn't feel I could afford. sol
