We also took measurements to see how she has progressed in DOC band #2. The measurements were somewhat difficult. We had to restrain her and make her made - ugh! She has grown 8 mm in this band (she grew 7mm between cast and fit in #1) LOL. Her cranial vault is now 3 mm!!! Yeah we are in the average population range!! She started at 11 mm and went to 7 mm in 1st band and now 3 mm! Her ear assymetry has improved from 9 mm to 7 mm (end of 1st band) to 5 mm!!! We are very excited. Our poor orthotist probably doesn't think I'm excited - I'm somewhat reserved at times. na is going to continue to wear the band for 4-6 more weeks. We are hoping to get her ears to 3 mm. At this point the ortho said if she didn't improve anymore she is still on the outer edges of the general population and should have lessened risk for developing plagio related ailments. The ortho said they tend to use Aetna and Progressive Insurance's guidelines of less than 6mm no band. So at this point if we were to walk in today they would not band her. This is so reassuring knowing were were able to get her back into the normal range. As for the tort, there is still a tiny bit of tilt but no range of motion issues. She was turning her head every which way to avoid being measured - LOL!! PS I did a new paint job on her band and I hope to post pics tomorrow.
