Guest guest
Hi , I can't give you expert advice, but I can encourage you to keep heading on a road that will lead you to health. I don't know if a liver cleanse would be advisable in your condition just yet. Maybe Agnes can shed some light. I would think that your body has built up quite a level of toxins, and maybe the first thing you could do would be to start drinking more water. http://www.watercure2.com/ Even this should be taken slowly, as your body is probably in a weakened state. What you really need to head back on the road to health is to make dietary changes. All the information you need about that can be found on the curezone website. Dr. Hulda , and Dr. Cabot both have diets that are recommended here. The other thing I would do is try to find a holistic doctor who can support you and advise you as to what to do. I'm new here, and appreciate all I'm learning from you all. I must eat every 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. max. or my blood sugar starts crashing and I don't just get weird feeling or cranky... I am dizzy, lightheaded and almost passing out losing conciousness. I am a drinker. I'll be honest. I only drink 3 to 5 drinks a night now, but over the years have been a heavy drinker. This of course does not help my hypo, nor my liver or gallbladder...and probably the cause of my feeling so bad! So please, no lectures there...ok? I am off all sugar and low carb it, except for my few vodka's a night with diet 7-up. I'm working on that. I know that's the root of my probems. Any help with this situation with me being in this current situation? I have no obvious gall bladder problems, but do have lately a swollen belly real bad, and of course there's the hypo that hit me real hard last year out of nowhere. Both liver related I believe. Anyway, I want to get well. Not to drink...but to get well and want more of a life so I don't want to drink. I'm not depressed or miserable and for that reason drink, I started drinking as a young adult partying and it just hung with me and became a habit/addiction. Anyway there's all the facts I think, if anyone has any guidance or direction for me I'd appreciate it sooo much.> ; First off your honesty is certainly going to help you, but you must have a compeling reason in order to have this all work for you. It calls for a change and you certainly have one major set of problems going on here that need changed. One of the first things to do is to stop drinking diet soda as they contain aspertame. Aspertame is deadly on it's own but when mixed with an alcoholic beverage it becomes all the more deadly and toxic to the body. I would suggest you consider the information available on this website. There are more sites with more information but I thought this should get your attention. http://www.hotbin.com/deadly/ If you have hypoglocemia you certainly have got a problem with your liver. That' is just as bad as, if not leading up to, trouble with your gallbladder. Diet can in time help the liver, and clean the body of toxins, but it has to have someone in control other than the bodies desires in order to do so. The big reason here is that the body will start to feel bad, real bad, as it starts to detox from the effects of aspertame and sugars of which alcohol is a major contributor, and may make it almost imposible to adhear to a diet, even if the diet provides plenty of food with nutritional value, because it has an addiction to feeling a certain way. Addictive habits are vary hard to change and call for a lot of resolve, but resolve often isn't enough by itself to get someone to a desired point. However, this group really isn't capable of getting into those types of issues. We can however, incourage you to do things but you're the one that's going to have to drink the water. Guest guest
, No lectures here. I'm an x-alchy myself. You can do it! How 'bout you start by getting a juicer and do apple/beet juice. That will feed your liver. Do 2 drinks of juice after each drink of liquor. That way you will be doing something good for yourself. And dear, you must wean yourself or suffer. Hypo is the precursor of diabetes. Do the flushes and everything good you learn about and pretty soon you will not want to drink as much. And you will be able to look better at WHY you want to drink. Get some self help books, church, etc and forgive yourself so you don't need to keep hurting yourself with liquor. I desperately want one sometimes when things get bad, but I just remind myself it's not worth starting again. Last time I only had one Margurita with dinner and on the way home at dusk, almost hit a kid! Let alone hurt my own liver! Forgive if that sounds preachy. That's my experience. That was ummm, 4 years ago. I've done lots of bowel cleanses in past and only one stone flush, but hey...it DOES work! When you see the stones, you will know why you were led to find this list! Won't you join us, we need you, too. (who is just trying do get out one stone at a time...LOL) " People are like stain glass windows; they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is alight within. " -Kubler Ross " Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Guest guest
I'd say if you can still drink alcohol that you are able to do liver flushes. But more likely, your hypoglycemia is telling you that you aren't able to drink alcohol and should stop. Hypoglycemia is going to turn into death in no time if you continue drinking alcohol. I'm sure you know this, so I don't mean it to be a lecture, just a reminder of the facts. Liver/gallbadder flushes can be harsh, but they aren't very harsh compared to vodka. And your pancreas thinks diet soda pop is not that much different than regular pop, even though many diabetics will disagree. You need to find a group of people in your area that are in a similar situation. Trying to overcome addiction on your own isn't as easy as working with others. And if not a group of people dealing with alcohol addiction, find one dealing with liver problems or even cancer. Basically you need to do a complete cleanse of all of your elimination organs if you want to save your pancreas. Check your health food stores for alternative therapy groups in your area. And use internet searches to find sites discussing internal organ cleansing for the various methods available, as well as the Bookmarks portion of this group. Here are a couple of places to start: http://www.learnhealth.org/patient/ http://www.curezone.com/ Good luck, and be honest with yourself.
