Guest guest
Kathy, You are right. This is an excellent article and it begins to pave the way for some new discoveries. One of the things I have experienced with my treatment is that the Doctors and even the nurses do not give much attention to the symptoms experienced. They give the impression that the report of symptoms or symptom distress is a bother to them. My guess is that the result is that the symptoms don't get reported very accurately. That's why the reported research in this article is so important. We need to get urologists, radiation oncologists and their nursing staffs to begin to use the assessment tools documented. And, just for the record - for Terry Herbert - the citation for the statistcs related to prostate cancer occurence and morbidity is: 3. American Cancer Society Facts and Figures. 2006. http://www.cancer.org/ docroot/PRO/content/PRO_1_1_Cancer_Statistics_2006_Presentation.
