Guest guest
Dear All, I have a question. I have Hashi (for which I take T4 medication) and have suffered for years from aching arms and legs. I am currently following the iodine protocol of the iodine project. A few months before I started all this I took 50 µg of selenium for about 10 days and at the end of this period could hardly walk because of the aches in the arches of my feet, and the connective tissues in my arms and legs where the muscles join the bones (ligaments or tendons, can never remember which is which). The problem calmed, although it didn't disappear completely when I stopped taking selenium. I also have this problem, although not on the same scale, at the end of my cycle. Since I have been following the iodine protocol I have been taking 4 times more selenium and although I still have these aches at the end of the month, and at other times, they are no where near as bad. When I increased my iodine intake by 12,5 mg (2 drops) it seemed to get worse too. My question is "could this be an RT3 problem?". I would like to know what you think. My generalist and my specialist don't think this is a thyroid problem. MacGilchrist
