Guest guest
Is this normal? I have been drinking more water than usual and don't think I am eating hidden carbs. Yesterday I had for breakfast 2 boiled eggs, lunch 1 skinless, boneless chicken breast cut up on 2 cups of lettuce and 1/2 cup of sautéed mushrooms w/ onions and 2-3 tbls. of ranch dressing. Had about 12 pork rinds, about 2 ounces of cheese. Also had about 4 ounces of macadamia nuts. Not sure but I think it might have been yesterday that I tried the mock cream of wheat. Is this way to many carbs? Too much food? Or to many snacks? Carmen
Guest guest
It is probably just too many carbs along with the water that comes with it. If I eat 30g Carbs, I stay in ketosis and don't hold water. If I go over 30 carbs my fingers swell up and I can gain as much as 5 pounds in one day. Pasta is the worst for me, I am so allergic. Guest guest
Carmen, It looks like your food was pretty good when I look at it item by item. It could be that there are some combinations that are causing you problems. How many onions were in your sautéed mushrooms? Onions are a little higher in carbs than other veggies on the okay list, so that could be the problem. I also think 2 ounces of cheese combined with 4 oz of macadamias is on the high side. I think nuts should be kept to 2 oz a day maximum, of course listen to what I say, not necessarily what I do.
