Guest guest
It is good to hear that you are happy and that your PSA continues to be low, although you may have the wrong end of the stick about only having to wait two more years to be declared ‘biologically cured’. Some failure is reported well after the five year limit you have mentioned so you will need to continue to be vigilant even after that period has elapsed. Sorry to hear that the repetitious nature of question and answer is a source of annoyance to you, but regrettably men are constantly being diagnosed and in their state of fear and concern they have questions that need answering. The fact that many of us have seen the questions before does not mean that they are any less important for the people who ask them and they deserve to have an answer to reduce their anxiety. If that means that some answers are repetitive, so be it. Be grateful that you are no longer in their position. All the best Terry Herbert I have no medical qualifications but I was diagnosed in ‘96: and have learned a bit since then. My sites are at www.yananow.net and www.prostatecancerwatchfulwaiting.co.za Dr “Snuffy” Myers : " As a physician, I am painfully aware that most of the decisions we make with regard to prostate cancer are made with inadequate data " From: ProstateCancerSupport [mailto:ProstateCancerSupport ] On Behalf Of milwaukeecork Sent: Sunday, 6 January 2008 12:52 PM To: ProstateCancerSupport Subject: up-date---I am happy Hello, Peeps---I haven't participated much at all in this slurry of inane questions and answers. What bugs me most is the repetious(sp?)., (over and over), routine of questions and answers. I have a particle of info to contribute. I just celebrated my 36 month PSA. This is the result of external beam therapy and seed implant. I WAS bad off because I ignored the first three years of rising PSA results. I am proud to declare that my test result last week was 0.1, as it has been for the past 3 years. I am happy. I am aware that I have 2 more years to go before I am declared biologically cured and I am waiting with a contented breath. Thanks for your ears.
