Guest guest
I owuld say your aldosterone is fine btu BOTH sodium and potassium seem low so I might try to get the aldostrerone re done at correct time an with salt fasting. And in the meantime et lots of potassium rich foods and do increase Sea salt as it is way too low. However, one BIG red flag I am seing is your A1c.. You are defintiely bordering on Diabetic. I think you can safely go back to Amroru now as your RT3 is gone. But you really need a LOW carb diet with lots of fat and protein. Some metformin might be a good idea too. I am surprised your doctor did not mention this but may have just liooked at the fasting glucose and said itis fine. It is NOT fine the A1c is alot mroe telling than the fasting glucose is. I am a Diabetic and keep my A1c mid 5 or lower. but I do it wiht insulin. 6.0 you are gettign some damage from high glucose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Val, do you think that the Renin: 160 is too high(range:20-160)? i haven't taken the adrenal saliva test yet. Could the adrenals have anything to do with the A1C test result of 6.0(raange:4.2-6.0)? Thanks so much for your advice. I really appreciate it. Guest guest
Your sodium and potassium are HORRIBLE! In spite of the 14 for aldosterone I would think Florinef and potassium supplements would be helpful for you. But if you can;t get it, I wiould defintiely dink ALOT mroe sea salt and start suppleenting potassium as well. i do nto understand how you can be anemic with Ferritin that good. but the low red blood cells is where anemia comes from but I do nto understand that well. Yes you should be taking at least 5000IU of vitamin D daily to bring that up. Any most the time when on HC the AM cortils labs will look supressed as yours does, this is normal for anyoneon HC and really does nto tell us anything about your dose. I do think you could lower T3 a Bit bit not too much. Whatare your temps? Pulse? BP? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
I do not have a doc at the moment to get the florinef and I can't afford to buy it outright. How much sea salt should I take a day? I am taking 2 1/2tsp a day, should I take more? I started taking a potassium pill a day (90) and the doc said to take 2000IU of Vitamin D a day, should I still take 5000 as you suggested? My husbands doc put him on 2000 and it brought his up. Also when someone on the forum said my anemia problem might be B12 beings my ferritan is good. I started taking that also, couldn't hurt. I had ask for a Vit B12 lab, but she did not do it. I sure hope the sea salt and potassium pills will bring my temps to being stable, I am tired of this adrenal problem causing my hypothyroid problems, I need it to get to my cells as the pain in my hands and back are coming back big time now. Oh I did read up on Vitamin D some and found where it can cause muscle weakness and pain in the joints. Do you think that may be part of my pain problem beings I am so low on Vit D?? > Your sodium and potassium are HORRIBLE!
