Guest guest
Sounds like your palps were related to thyroid. It’s great to hear the T3 helped. I’m on SRT3 which seems to be making me feel better already – only on 15 mcg x 2 so far but will up to 22.5 x 2 tomorrow. I’m not sure about your HC question. Seems like all of this is a bit of trial and error for each individual. I upped my HC a little when I started SRT3 but now feel that I don’t need any more. May when I up it though. We’ll see. Dana From: RT3_T3 [mailto:RT3_T3 ] On Behalf Of dorothyroeder Iam not sure if what you are calling heart palps are what I have. Mostly in the morning before I get up but other times also, like exercise (back before I had to stop that) I get a hard beat that is early in the regular rhythm. Almost like an extra, strong beat. Have been having them a lot lately. I was at 150 mcg T3. Still often feel suffocated, easily out of breath. Last night ankles and feet were swollen again with pitting when I poke it. I have been getting good results from taking 12.5 mcg T3 at night when I wake up. Last night, by mistake, I took the 12.5 and then grabbed another 50 instead of the HC. Thought I might have done myself in, but this morning my heartrate was the same and my temp was up 0.2 deg. And NO PALPS. And since I didn't have diarrhea, I am upping my dose another 50 tonight. Feel fine with regular HC dose so far. Is it reasonable that I don't need extra HC for the incr amt if I take it at night when my body doesn't have to do anything else? Does this T3 drain/resistance/exploding need ever end? I have been on T3 since Nov 7. Dorothy
Guest guest
You guys make sure and let us know how the change over to t3 is going. Im on the verge of switching over. I hear conflicting things, and Im scared to make the change. Mostly Im scared to have the pain in neck and back come back that I had with the t3 that I tried for a week. so, let us know any side effects with the t3...and remind us if you continue with armour..or not. Guest guest
I just switched “cold turkey” from 2 grains Armour to starting dose of 15 mcg SRT3 twice per day. Seems pretty soon (only on my third day), but I’m already feeling a bit better. I will up my dose to 22.5 (x 2) tomorrow. My doc said to increase by 7.5 each dose every 3 days until my temps come up, which is already happening (daytime is coming up a bit but AM temps still steady between 96.9 and 97.1), so I guess I’m OK with HC. The only thing I’ve figured out so far is that I need to take some HC at the same time with the morning T3, or I get the shakes a little later (happened the first day). Guest guest
Yes. 2 grains Armour to 30 mcg SRT3 in split doses. First day felt a little “off” (should have made more precise notes – don’t remember exact symptoms) and temps stayed a bit lower than before. Temps started coming up a bit on 2nd and 3rd day (yesterday) to the low 98s. Last night we had dinner at friends’ house so didn’t eat until around 7:45 (dose every 12 hours at 8 am and pm). So took evening dose with dinner. This morning basal temp same as it’s been (97.0 plus or minus .1) but today my average temp stayed under 98 (avg around 97.4) where 2 days prior avg was more like 98.3. I’ve felt mentally pretty clear but low energy and chilly today. So, it may be that it’s best for me to take with little to no food (perhaps because of the sustained release agent – hard to say). I’m pretty sure I have absorption issues, though I take enzymes and HCL. I upped dose today to 22.5 each dose (45 mcg total). It’s all pretty early, but I will say that compared to Armour I am feeling somewhat better. A bit less fatigue, better attitude, more clear-headed. Guest guest
T3 will not affect a stim test. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
