Guest guest
I've heard about Stevia from this list (thanks to those who came to my rescue about substitutions) but I don't see it in the stores. Since I like licorce I think I might like Stevia. Had no idea it was super sweet. Now that my sweet tooth is gone, I don't want to chance it by reactivating it! Maybe I'll just stick with Splenda. in MI
Guest guest
Coca-cola is researching the use of stevia in their products. They want to develop a formula, that doesn't leave an aftertaste, and patent it. The FDA has said for years that stevia can't be advertised as a sweetener. Suddenly, Coke gets involved and it's a great " new " sugar substitute. Stevia has been used as a sweetener in Japan for centuries. One good thing about Coke getting involved is that maybe aspertame will become a thing of the past. Also, more people will become aware of stevia as a healthy substitute for sugar.
