Guest guest
I'm sorry to read that you have pain. I think your doctor is grazing in the fields. " No connection between pain and PCA " . He (she) must be kidding. Has he made an effort to rule-out other possibilities? My thoughts are you need to find another doctor. Sorry to be so blunt. > > I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Guest guest
Yeah baby, I've had that " pelvic pain " or " perineal pain " for two years. Some docs think it is caused by prostititus. Of course, they can't cure prostititus unless you are one of the 5% who have a bug they can kill with antibiotics. The other 95% of us with chronic prostititus are up the creek. Some docs think it is caused by tense muscles in the pelvic region. Read " A headache in the Pelvis " . They think paradoxical relaxation and trigger point release therapy will cure you. As far as an enlarged prostate causing it, my prostate is NOT enlarged and I have it. Most docs feel that since the prostate is the size of a walnut and the cancer might be the size of a BB, they don't think prostate cancer causes the perineal pain. My doc does not think my PC causes it? It started just about the time I was DXed with PC? Some say it is stress from worrying about your PC that causes it? Since I live in Florida and Stanford U. is in Calif., I doubt I will go to their clinic (plus it costs 4 grand and is not covered by medicare) to learn paradoxical relaxation and have my trigger points released. I am going to discuss this with a local physical therapist who attacks trigger points with mega small electrical stimulation. If I have any success in curing or lesssening my pain, I will let you know. If you beat it, let me know how you did it. Dwight Black --- wrote: > I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Guest guest
Headache in the Pelvis is excellent! I've found a therapist in Northern Va who has implement the protocols here, and has helped me alot. Have worked with him for the past three months, and while the initial procedures are not particularly pleasant, the gradual benefit I'm experiencing is awesome. Guest guest
I had the same pelvic pain which too the doctors ignored. After my surgery the pain was gone. I think you are correct in your theory. Mick wrote: I would appreciate any thoughts on this.
