Guest guest Posted November 25, 2008 Report Share Posted November 25, 2008 So I took myself off Armour. Doc thought that would help RT3. Talked him into only 15 mcg cytomel which didn't last long. Labs after 1 wk on T3 only, showed fT3 5.1 (2.0-4.8), fT4 1.2 (0.8-1.7). He said keep on with what I was doing, which was 30 mcg T3. When I called today to raise the script he only gave me 35 mcg T3 because " the T3 is high and the Rt3 is back in normal range " . I was actually up to 40 mcg by then and my overseas stuff arrived so I just increased to 50. Still very short of breath and tired, heavy, base heart rate dropped 10 over the last week. Trying to be patient with the RT3 release. The big blast of HC for a couple of days seemed to change the pattern of needing more and more. I am trying to hold to about 40 mg cortef during the day, not taking any after lunch because I am not sleeping well. Hope this is right.
