Guest guest
In any regression with our kids, I always rule out diet infraction, gut pathogen invasion, or strong environmental exposure (new carpet, new house, painting, allergy flare-ups etc) first of all. New intensive treatments that make changes relatively quickly often activate latent pathogens, viral, bacterial and fungal. Dr. JM Subject: HBOT and regression To: csb-autism-rx Date: Sunday, December 14, 2008, 5:57 AM Hi all In OCT/ Nov ( 30 day period) we did 90 Hours of HBOT with o2 concentrator and mask. WE are now experiencing the worst regression we have seen, just about ever. I am so discouraged and frusterated. WE did antioxidents, we didn't go over 90 hours, she was on a ton of antifugals. ( had to just stop for OATS test, etc.) So my question to all ( and I am cross posting this) is how to stop the downward spiral at this point. I am stumped and Life is very quickly becoming hell. Any ideas? Also, what's anyone's thought on going back in in Jaunary? ( no, I am not crazy, just wondering if somehow it might help) Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Ellen, Can you give us more info because it sounds like you did more hours or more sessions in 30 days than might be typical. If that is true, then it sounds like there would have been several days where you did sessions longer than one hour or more than one session per day. Please clarify how many hours per session, how many sessions per day, how many sessions per week, and any other details. Was this a soft chamber, how many ATA? Guest guest
HBOT needs to be seen as one of many treatments and it may not work for all. In some instances a child can have seizures induced (google Dr Hersch) as a result .. Same with B12 shots- MIND excluded those children with seizures from their study. While I am forever greatful for what DAN! Docs do - I get frustrated sometimes when they don't provide the negatives with the positives. If your child developed subclinical seizures from HBOT or something else this can definetly be a reason for regression. Saying viral, yeast etc basically covers the kitchen sink. --------- HBOT and regression Hi all In OCT/ Nov ( 30 day period) we did 90 Hours of HBOT with o2 concentrator and mask.
