Guest guest
Hi, You're right, not everyone will be able to save their GB by doing the liver cleanse. Sometimes it's too late. I think I might have been able to, if only I'd had the information in time. Friends and family scared me by saying I could die if I didn't have my GB removed, and I personally know someone like you, who almost died because his gallbladder burst, emptying poison into his body. Thanks for posting your symptoms prior to surgery, which I know will be helpful to others who are considering surgery motivated by fear rather than knowledge. The other thing I heard from medical sources, before I had surgery, was that my problem was basically " incurable. " That is, I would continue to make stones, they would continue to cause problems, and eventually I would end up in a terrible situation. I'm thankful too, for the information I've gained from this board. Hopefully, in time, the word will get out. Guest guest
Terry, Sorry for your tough experience. I wanted to say that I don't consider sharing the fact that your surgeon prayed with you to be " bible thumping. " I think it was probably extremely comforting, and greatly affected your mental attitude, to know that someone who shared your faith was caring for you. You were just sharing part of your experience, and I am glad that it was part of your experience. Bible thumping is stating a matter of faith, as a matter of fact. I respect people's faith (even though I do not share it) and believe that it can help them through a lot. Did you by any chance have a cholangiogram during surgery? Are you sure all the stones were removed from the ducts? With a problem as severe as yours was, it seems very likely that you may have had some there. Best wishes for regaining health, Debra _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
So Debra, You have had your gallbladder taken out? I'm sorry I don't understand. I am new here. I've had one gallbladder attack and few tummy aches. I am doing a cleanse today. (starting today). I have not gone to the doc. only the emergency hosp. once. My attack lasted 25 min., but I was gassy for two days and tummy very stiff. I have quit eating mean and dairy for 5 days or so now. Feeling pretty good. I hate going to the doc. becuase they give you such a run around. I have not found one I like yet. Hope and pray I'm doing the right thing. Thanks for hanging around to help others. God bless you. Guest guest
Terry, thanks so much for sharing your story and joining us. You have reaffirmed why I am doing this before things get worse. " People are like stain glass windows; they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is alight within. " -Kubler Ross " Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. It's easy for me to get off track and get back into old habits and posts like that one, Terry, are what help keep me going in the right direction. So thanks. Guest guest
>>So Debra, You have had your gallbladder taken out? << Yes, over a year ago? You are doing the right thing by exploring your options. Although your pains are annoying, to say the least, unless you are experiencing fevers or jaundice, it is more than likely not any sort of life-threatening condition. You probably have plenty of time to try to restore health to your gallbladder, and you will garner much information from the folks on this list. If you have any questions regarding surgery, feel free to e-mail me off list. Best of luck in your quest for good health, Debra _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
