Craig I had laser surgery done on my left eye almost a year ago. It was to release extra fluid in my eye from glaucoma. They don't put you out and mine was painless. Took about 5 minutes. I have a few friends who have had laser surgery for cataracts and they all say the anticipation is worse than the reality. Vicki, Thank you for the reassurance, I am hoping though that it won't be necessary .. Regards, Craig.
Guest guest
Re: Is this too high? Thanks, for the detailed response! It all sounds much worse than it really is and it is some comfort to see the crowded waiting room, full of patients getting their eyes lasered, and you never hear anybody yell, which is more than I can say for our dentist's practices! If you subscribe to the conspiracy theory, they could all be actors - hired by the Doc to make him Look good (eye pun intended!) My wife was offered a local anaesthetic but she refused it when she saw that the eye doctor was preparing a needle about 6 " long which he said would go in through her face to a point just behind the eye! Best to grin and bear it!
