Guest guest
Hello, . Welcome to our list. There have been some recent posts regarding neuropathy, which is what is probably happening with your feet. I read yesterday, I think, that even though your bg's are coming under control, that it might take awhile for the circulation in your feet to get better. What kind of eating plan are you on now? ARe you testing frequently to learn what different kinds of food do to your bg's? Some of us have found that lowering our carbohydrate intake initially will get our bg's under control diet and exercise. And some have started with medication and been able to get off it later one. And some of us do well on the ADA food plan, which has too many carbs for my little body. Everyone is different with this disease, which is primarily a disease of self management, as you will find. Welcome, . You're in the right place. Barb -------- Rainbow Farm Unltd. Guest guest
Barb and All: Well my diet is based on cutting down on the quantities of food I have been on and is as follows: bfast oatmean, skim milk tea exercise lunch: vegie sandwich diet pepsi snack: fruit and yogurt supper ( dinner): 4 oz fish (usually), wild rice and vegie snack: 2 wassa crackers and humus milk Have been testing before bfast, before exercise or lunch and before supper..... I think my readings are still high........have had only a few in the under 110 range. Also, in the last year and half have gained lots of weight like have gone from 190 to 250 (blush)...i am 5 11....... nutritionist said one of my anti anxiety pills could have been the cause of the weight gain. All this time I thought it was from not exercising. I am up to a brisk walk for a half an hour at noon time and am trying to extend it every few days and get it up to an hour. As I said before I am, since May of this year, on a trial work period after being on disability for depression and anxiety for several years. So this diagnosis didnt exacty come at a good time......but I guess there is no good time for any of us. And yes, I do understand that it is selfl managment.......and I am now exercising weekends which I was never able to do in the past due to anxiety.....but pushed past that this weekend......as I want to be healthy....by the way I am 52. with the mind of a 20 year old hahaha. Thanks for all the info from all of You and I pray that all of You are much healthier every day!
