Guest guest
Hi everyone, O.K.- I'm confused! Just bought Dr. Atkins Diet Book. I've been reading it but it just seems like there's too much to eat. Can we really lower our numbers eating all that protein? I know Dr. Atkins says yes in the book but I need some strong reassurance. Just had a blood test last week and my HbA1c was 9.9!!! Nearly a perfect score if you're in the Olympics! As this really is the first test I've had in a while, I'd like to consider it a baseline; hopefully the numbers will come down significantly from here. Is following the Atkins diet really going to help bring the numbers down within about two months until the next test or should medication now be an option? Thanks in anticipation of your help.
