Guest guest
- I didn't have RT but I am a long-time suffer of hemorrhoids. I use Tucks Medicated Wipes along with Anusol H-C Suppositories at night. For me the suppositories knock the swelling down over night. I also use Tronolane cream. The suppositories are prescription but the others are over the counter. Tronolane was suggested to me from a cancer survivor as the only thing that worked for her. I had to order it through my pharmacist but it was still over the counter. Good Luck! Mick yellow_laurel wrote: , I just have a little tip to offer. You may have already figured this out. Instead of using toilet paper to wipe after a bowel movement use the flushable wipes. They are much easier on the tender tissue. We like the Kleenex brand Cottonelle variety. Most grocery stores stock them right by the toilet paper. Laurel > > Does anyone have ideas about easing the aftermath of RT? Guest guest
Hello Mick, The pharmacist advised against the suppositories because I have some bleeding inside (not much). They are OTC here. I’m finding the Anusol HC ointment quite good. That seems to be the trick: an interval long enough to allow the swelling to go down and get some repair in the rectum. I’ll look up Tronolane to see if it’s OTC over here. See what the GP says next week. Good stuff Mick and Laurel, Thanks a lot.
