Guest guest
Hi, I am talking with a person on another Mailing List that I am on, and she has ACM I, along with Tethered Cord. She is not on this List, and wanted me to ask you this question. She is going to be having Surgery for her Tethered Cord soon, and some of the professionals that will be involved with the Surgery told her that because of her ACM I she will have to be Intubated before she goes to sleep, so care is taken not to hurt anything. She was alittle worried about this, and asked those people on the other List that I am on if they have ever heard of this.........well none of us have. So she wants to know if this is routinely done for people with Chiari, intubating before falling asleep, that is? Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the thing you are not suposse to do is Hyperextend the Neck, and use Caution, but that doesn't mean you have to be awake for it. I hope I worded this all right. I will send the other List the responses, if need be. Feel free to Post to me privately about this. Brande NotYou@... Take Care, Brande NotYou@...
