Cheadle saved golf balls from the courses he played until the day his doctors

determined that he had advanced, aggressive prostate cancer and gave him fewer

than two years to live.

“I

just started using them,” the 64-year-old bakery owner from England said.

“I thought, ‘Who in the hell is going to want these when I’m

not here?’”

Now,

three years later, Cheadle’s tests are negative and he is golfing with

two other men who first came to Sarasota

with a dire prognosis for prostate cancer and have since proved their

doctors wrong.
