Guest guest
I don't pretend to know what or the depth of your pain. I don't understand what I'm going thru. That's why I'm here. So here's a comment about me as it might relate to you. After my skull fracture, about 8years ago, that brought on Crinic headaches, Vertigo, ringing in my ears, numbness in my hand and arms, etc. I started to drink beer. It seemed to help. I continued to self proscribe self medicate my condition. About 3 years ago at 37yrs old it was soo bad I finally resorted to a Doctor and I stopped that because of the following. 1.Short term masking the problem. 2.The toll on my body. 3. The headaches and subsiquent nausea from the pain was aggrevated by the beer. 4. Finally and most importantly, I was putting myself at risk of dependance if I continued. Being the patient and letting the Doctor be the Doctor. Letting him help me with a sound program, which in my case was Ostiopathic theropy, light exercise and minor med's. In contrast, 1.it doesn't adversly affect me socialy and bodily the way beer did, 2.it doesn't produce the immediate side effects that often aggrevated the headache induced nausia. I know taking the medicine is not a cure and only treats the symptoms but It helps me to work and do light exercise until treatment that targets cure not symptoms. Which is why I'm investigating this site. Please forgive me if I'm off the mark. I just thought I know where you are coming from. I just wanted to say that I have tried both options and the second is by far a better choice. I hope your condition is near the end as I hope the same is for me.
