Guest guest
I have one more thing to add Sherry.......you thought that because another low carb program allowed 27 carbs per meal it was better.........what you don't realize, is that Atkins......starts you out at 20 a day for 2 weeks......one.....to get you into ketosis, which the other programs don't......thus burning fat.....two..you up your carbs by 5 each week until you stop losing so that you know for sure, without a doubt, what carb level you have to stay at to lose weight, and where you need to stay to keep it off......the other programs, I feel are too vague on this and I personally like knowing what my body can handle.......there are too many out there who have to stay very low levels of carbs to lose......I am lucky not to be one of them and I can eat 60-70 a day and lose......so, I would be one of those who would successful at one of " the other " programs......but I like the ease of Atkins, the variety of foods, the educational knowledge of why my body is fat, and exactly what and how I need to eat to get and stay thin........I like the fact that this is the one weight loss plan that has stood the test of time......believe me, I have tried every thing that has come up in the last 30 years.....and none of them have lasted, either by me giving up because they don't work, or have they lasted in the public as a proven successful answer to obesity.......so.......don't let " hearing " that people are losing faster, throw you.......all of our metabolisms are different.....what works for one, may not work for another......heck low fat works for some.....not me.....I gained weight on it!!.......I have convinced myself, thru what I have learned that low carbing is the answer to obesity, I found what works for me.......I prefer the test of time for my own piece of mind, and Atkins has been around and proven effective for over 30 years.........Annie ________________________________________________________________________________\ _____ Get more from the Web.
