I have just had 30Gy (10 x 3Gy) palliative to the prostate and am struggling with rectal problems. Diarrhoea is expected short-term but my haemorrhoids have been aggravated. Some bleeding. Frequent painful visits to the bathroom… I have medication to calm the diarrhoea but have to be careful with that to avoid constipation setting in. Am experimenting with painkillers – paracetamol + ibuprofen seems to help a bit. If I can reduce the pain I can cope. Any shared experiences welcome.
