Guest guest
, Welcome back. We would be honored to have you join us in our turtle plan! It's never too late! Cheryl Ü 225/188/145? (lost 2 on turtle plan so far) 1/20/00 << I started the turtle menu yesterday because I decided when I got back from vacation that I was going to see if I can get over the hump I've been stuck on. So far, so good. It's only day 2, but I take it one meal at a time. It's easier for me that way. >>
Guest guest
Michel, I'm glad you had fun! It's nearly impossible to stick to a diet when you are surrounded by other people enjoying yummy food. I'm glad that you are back on track with a positive attitude. Good luck in losing the 7 pounds you gained, i know that you can do it. Vicky sunshinestarface wrote:Hi everyone, We just got back last night. Camping was fun although I ed. In the store when I saw all the good stuff the kids and my husband were throwing in the cart I knew I wasn't going to make it through the four days on my diet. The first day for about an hour I tryed and then I gave up! I gained 7 pounds. I was so sad thats almost all of what I lost. I'm back on track though so far!! I did get some exercise though. We hicked for about a mile in the boonies and looked at some old mining shafts. It was really cool. Although the two little ones had a hard time making it back up. So I had to cary my 2 year old on my sholders and my husband carryed my 4year old daughter on his sholders. So I must of burned some calories. Oh and swiming, I wore the swiming suit. Only in the evening when the sun was going down and no one was in the water. I would go back down to the water with the kids and swim with them. They swam all day long but I waited. I know that it's silly but to me it was fear. I felt like the fattest one there. Even all the older ladys looked better then me. Thats when I said NO WAY!! Hopefully next summer I will be at least 140 and then I will get back in the water. I did have fun though. I better have since I gained 7 pounds! Guest guest
Vicky, Thanks for the support. If I didn't have this group to come back to I can't say it would be so easy to go back to my diet. I am going to really try to take that 7 pounds back off so I can get back to ware I was and meet that first goal to get to 159 by labor day. I read it was a few others goal and I was about the same weight so I thought I would make it my goal too. I don't know if I can do it now but I will try! Guest guest
Michel, That sounds like a good goal to me. I also wouldn't be able to go back to my diet without this group. Today is my first day back on the wagon-i keep thinking of the group to keep me on track. I read a magazine article today about this small town who supported each other dieting and all lost lots of weight. It showed a clinical study proving dieters who had the support of others lost over 5 pounds more than thoseon their won. I immedietly thought of this group Vicky sunshinestarface wrote:Vicky, Thanks for the support. If I didn't have this group to come back to I can't say it would be so easy to go back to my diet. Vacation is often a set back. This may be water anyway-- especially if you had lost water by vigorous dieting before the vacation. Go back to exercise and diet now as planned. Lucia -- lucia@... Guest guest
Vicky, Wow! that makes a big diffrence. I can feel the diffrence now from all the times before I dieted on my own. I really feel thet I am able to stay with it better this time. Before if I screwed up, I would give up but the group really keeps you focused. I love that and it's free!! Guest guest
Tina, Hi, I haven't been on the computer that much in the last few days since my husband dislocated his shoulder. He is getting better now but he has been out of work for about three weeks. About camping. We were gone 5 days and 4 nights. The reason I gained so much is becasue I ate everything in sight since it was there. I think I may have a slight problem lol. I am doing really good now though. I got back on the wagon. I was 168 when I got home and now I am 162 this morning. I don't know how I lost it so fast. I may have been retaining a tun of water from all the crap I ate. Now I have a family reunion coming up and saturday I have a wedding to go to. Now after my stunt camping I have to be good. Michel > Glad you had fun Michel. I thought I gained weight fast. Guest guest
Ang, Hey their, that's awsome thet you are feeling great about your self this summer! All the hard work is paying off. Last year I was around 135 to 140 pounds when we went camping. I looked fine but still felt insacure. I just got the film back last night. I just got if filled at work and I was looking at them in my checkstand. Oh god I was afraid some one might walk by and see what my husband took pictures of. Me getting in the water,me swimming in the water, there was a picture of me and my 9 year old and he was nice and tan and me next to him in the water I looked dead! I am going to make sure I burn the ones of me and the ones with the kids in them I will cut me out and find a way to work the pictures in to their scrap books. I swear I am not going to be this fat next summer. I WILL loose enough to feel decent. This is the first summer I went swimming this fat and never again. That is unless I forget how I felt.kinda like having a baby, you tell your self never again, after that pain and then a few years later your saying oooooh,I want another one lol. Guest guest
Hi Lucia, I think your right. It must have been mostly water because I lost pritty much all of it all ready. I bet I really gained about 2 to 3 pounds. Back when I couldn't loose before camping I figured out I was drinking too much water. I cut back to only 6 to 8 glasses a day and I am doing way better. I guess thats all my body can take. Well thanks for all the support. Hope you have a great day! Michel > Hi Michel, > > > on his sholders. So I must of burned some calories.
