Guest guest
I wanted to share with everyone information on a salary survey that I helped put together for our department. What I can provide are the charts that we presented in our presentation that would give you some idea of the comparison of other jurisdictions within Colorado and Nationally. The charts are set up in Excel, so in order to view them you will need a spreadsheet type program. Anyway, we presented it to our city counsel and they granted us a substantial raise. Our 911 Operators received about an 8% raise and our Police and Paramedic Dispatchers received about 18% raise. Also our shift differential was adjusted as well. Its about 6-12% according to our base pay for the swing and graveyard shifts. If you are interested in getting these charts, e-mail me privately and I will forward them. Please be specific if you want National, Colorado or Both. Also if you would like a job description of our positions I can forward that too. Our 911 Operators now make $2338-3413/mo and Police and Paramedic Dispatchers make $2917-4260/mo. And yes, we are still hiring to fill our shortages (that's seems to be a never ending process). If you have any questions about the charts, how we put together the survey, what we did to present it to our city council, or other questions please feel free contact me.
