Dear Sharon,

I hope you will reconsider and stay with us. We need each other so we

can deal with ACM/SM.

In my many years of dealing with doctors I have had some very bad

experiences also. I was misdiagnosed for over ten years and I have

permanent nerve damage to the right side of my body.

We are talking BIG egos here and when a doctor doesn't have a clue

what is wrong or how to treat it they can get pretty nasty! It really

happens and I know of many others on the list this has happened to.

I am sorry you have had such bad experiences. I wouldn't wish what

has happened to you or me on anyone!!

My GP is the best and I finally got a neurologist and neurosurgeon

that with God's help saved my life. However in the years before finding

them I was passed off like a hot potato. I was told it must be in my

head and it was but not like the doctor meant! I wanted to give up many

times and the pain I endured was not necessary.

I am so happy to read on the list of so many that are finding good

doctors and getting an early diagnosis. They will be spared what we

have gone through.

I really want you to stay and let us help each other through this.

The listserv has been here to get me through so much over several years

and I am thankful!
