Guest guest
Patty, Glad you liked the book. As I'm sure you guessed, my story was written during a wilder and more carefree era of my life! Happy Solstice! Bindi Bindi, your writing Bindi, I just got my book in the mail (Best Travel Writing for 2006) and it looks like an awesome little book! Great short reads for entertainment, and oh, I do love to travel. It will be fun reading all the stories. OF course, I searched for yours first. I know who you are now! Thailand must have been fun, wasn't it? Take care and may you feel the blessings of this season surrounding you, Patty__________________________________________________
Guest guest
Lynda, My daughter is in Colorado this week, and supposed to be back home by Christmas Eve. Now I am not so sure she is going to make it out of there on time! But at least she is having fun. She said she's never seen so much snow in her life. I will definitely be praying for safety for all, Patty Re: Bindi, your writing Hi all,In the midst of a blizzard in Colorado, airport closed, interstate highways closed, not a car on my street this entire day. No mail, no school, nothing. I could not get to the grocery store if you paid me. Just everyone pray for no deaths and no major power outages in Colorado in the next 24 hours, PLEASE. The governor has declared a national disaster, it is so bad. BRRRRR. The wind is awful and the snow is piling up against my deck and front doors.LyndaAt 03:42 PM 12/20/2006, you wrote:>Bindi,>I just got my book in the mail (Best Travel >Writing for 2006) and it looks like an awesome >little book! Guest guest
Patty, Hope your daughter makes it, and safely. People will probably be able to get out Friday A.M. Driving will be faster than getting out of the airport. Most flights were already booked, so getting a seat will be almost impossible for the thousands that are stranded at the airport tonight. And they may be stranded tomorrow night also. I have definitely seen this much snow and much more. Wish I had my shopping done. But, my back has been really bad, even bad enough to get me to go get x-rays, so I needed to not do much for a few days. The doctor tried to give me Prednisone. I told him no way. I have 0 Christmas shopping done. I was supposed to meet my daughter this morning and go shopping. Ha Ha. I will be busy toward the weekend, won't I??? I just hope for safety for all, people are still stranded on the highways all over the Eastern half of this state, and the National Guard is out rescuing them. If we can just not have major power outages with it this cold, I think most people will be OK. Guest guest
Patty, Remember when the blizzard kept me from going to DC to testify a few years back? In April? Not too uncommon here, but inconvenient for Christmas travelling! And not too safe for those who had to be out. Guest guest
Lynda, You are going to be doing some serious shopping this weekend! I hope you are doing much better now with your back. Do you know yet what is causing your pain? My daughter's departure was delayed until tomorrow morning. It cut out a day at Zion National Park for them. I just want her home safe and sound! Take care, and God bless, Patty Re: Bindi, your writing>>Hi all,>>In the midst of a blizzard in Colorado, airport>closed, interstate highways closed, not a car on>my street this entire day. Guest guest
Hi Patty, I did some serious shopping today, and also put a ding in my bumper from sliding on water melting on top of ice. I am sooooo glad to be home off these horrible roads. Hope your daughter gets home safely. Guest guest
Patty, I don't know anything more after the x-rays than I did before. The doctor thought it was a pinched nerve. It is better, even after falling down on the ice yesterday. Just a bruise on the side of my hip, no further damage that I can see. All is well, I am just glad to be home from shopping. It was a marathon. Just a few more things to do. And lots of food to buy, but the grocery store is just 8 blocks away.
