Guest guest
Sandy, The others may know something I don't on this, but I don't think it's implant related. It's something men or women get -it can even occur in children. It's very common. Read up on it. It's also commonly known as "HPV." Certain types of it can be transmitted sexually. It's also a cause of various types of warts. I was freaked out once because my husband had a wart on his thumb and it made me paranoid of this, but I'm negative for HPV, and also found out there are apparently different strains of it. Anyway -read up on it. It's common. It's something not to ignore, but also something you shouldn't get all worked up about. Brig
Guest guest
I just e-mailed the group to see if this is implant related My physician just called me and said I have a virus called Humanpapillomavirus which can develop into cancer. Could this be implant related now I'm scared those dam implants have caused me nothing but misery I am not sure if this was caused by the implants or not I guess I will have to take care of this problem first Before getting the capsules removed from my chest Sandy~
Guest guest
Brig just gave you some really good info on HPV. I just wanted to add that it doesn't turn into cancer if it is treated. If you have genital warts, they will treat them with medication to kill them. Guest guest
A huge number of people have HPV, and from what I understand, it often goes away over time. That's not implant related, however if your immune system is impaired due to implants, your body could have a harder time fighting viruses (and your body could have been in a weakened state making you more susceptible to a virus). It's sexually transmitted (and please don't be ashamed of that, this is very common). Do you have to have a procedure done because of the HPV? I know many people who have had something called the leep procedure. Sis --- In , Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@...> wrote: > > Brig just gave you some really good info on HPV. Guest guest
Viruses that are dormant can become very active after you have had implants. That is because of the weaker immune system. I think some women have commented on other viral conditions leapfrogging into a more active state after implanted, with herpes being very common. Sexually transmitted or not, some viruses can remain dormant for years. Some are very virulent, while others are mild. It is when they have the opportunity to multiply unchecked through a weakened state that we experience symptoms. Sandy, you could have had this virus in your body even before implants. It could have been dormant, or you could have gotten it after implants. It doesn't necessarily have to be from implants, but if you had it before implants, it could be manifesting itself now. Or, you just could have recently gotten it...there is really no way of knowing. Best to get treatment though. Guest guest
Yes, unfortunately I found that out first hand, my body did a good job of keeping one of these viruses in check until I got implants. I knew I had the virus but it was dormant, and then when I got implants I couldn't control it and I was really upset. I've seen others post that they suddenly had cold sore outbreaks on a regular basis after being implanted, too. Sis > > > > Brig just gave you some really good info on HPV.
