hot flashes

Hello all, my name is Wanda, my daughter Darcie (aged 13) was Dx'ed with ACM

1 in August 1999, and underwent decompression surgery on December 14,1999 in

Baltimore at s Hopkins Hospital. Her surgeon is Dr. Ben Carson. Dar has

a zipper in the back of her head with 21 teeth. The staples will be removed

on Thursday.

Prior to surgery she had dizzy spells and headaches. Plus laringomalisia

(sp). Also about a month prior to the surgery she started to have hot

flashes. Mostly at night.

My question tonight, Darcie is having hot flashes. One moment she is cold

then hot. These come on very fast, and last a few minutes at a time. Any one

have any idea as to what may be the cause of these?

We stopped all pain meds and valium on Sunday night at the emergency room

when Darcie was having an allergic reaction to something? She was having a

hard time breathing, felt like her throat was closing up. So we were told

to go to the ER.

The only meds Darcie is taking now is soma ( a muscle relaxer) adderax, and

Tylenol.

Any ideas suggestions?
