I live in San Diego and put in Saline implants in 1995. I had them for 7 years and my doctor convinced me to switch to Silicone. After a year with silicone I became very ill and opted to remove them and replace them with saline. My health has still deteriorated. I have multiple chemical sensitivities. I am scheduled to have my implants out in Septemeber and am really scared. Do you have Saline Implant ladies in your support groups? And, do you believe saline implants can also make someone ill? Most people think I am crazy and that this is a result of the stress in my life, although it has been reduced for 1 year now. I believe I have 2 choices, my boobs or my health. They are so much a part of my self-image it's scary. Thank you for all your help. Best, La jolla, CA

, Welcome to . . . we're here for either gel or saline implant women . . . We are a bunch of women who want to help you get better . . . We'll help you any way we can! If I remember right, we have an excellent doctor Gilbert Lee (?) near you. Check our archives for recommended doctors. . . Nevertheless, get a commitment to remove them en block (preferably), or at a minumum a capsulectomy . . . including drains. The range of symptoms that come with breast implants is enormous . . . IMHO, it depends on a number of things . . . Sensitive to materials? . . . Defective implant? . . . Contaminated implant? . . . Detoriated implant? . . . Regardless, we can't PROVE it's breast implants that cause the problems because they STILL haven't studied sick women to find out why they're getting sick! . . . The good news is that women get much

better after getting their implants properly removed, following excellent health practices and detoxing. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
