Guest guest
,. I don't know anything about Skelaxin . . . I took Neurontin and think it's one of the drugs from Hell! . . . If you'll do a websearch on it, you'll find that it was developed for seizures. It blocks a certain pain channel. It doesn't treat anything, it just keeps the body from sending the signal. It didn't work as well as what was already on the market . . . so the manufacturer send their agents across the country to sell doctors on using it for ALMOST EVERYTHING! . . . Doctors who prescribed a lot, got nice little junkets . . . those who really prescribed a lot were paid to speak to other doctors on these junkets. . . Bottom line? . . . the feds fined the manufacturer's $430,000,000 for their marketing practices - and a class action suit was started for those who attempted suicide and the families of those who committed suicide. For me, it depleted the magnesium levels in my body, causing my feet to feel as though I was walking on hot coals . . . When I found the Erythromelalgia support group, it was depressing. . . Most of them were spiraling downhill. . . Of course, the drug of choice was Neurontin! . . A medical doctor came to the group. He had been disabled for two years with EM . . . He did the research and made the Neurontin. He's since set up a research lab www.magnesiumresearchlab.com . . . He has info there to take to your doctor. When I took it to my doctor, she recommended I see a naturopath because she wasn't trained in nutrition. Things got much better after that! Also, there is a website www.askapatient.com that give patients a chance to discuss medications, their benefits and drawbacks.
