Oh Liz...I am terribly sorry to hear about your Dad. I hate to see

you feel unable to get explanted but I totally understand that lifes

responsibilites often temporarily get in the way. You are in my

thoughts and prayers....for a solution to this.

You need to be explanted....so you are better able to help your Mom

and Dad for the grueling times ahead.

Is there no one near you that can do the proper procedure?

Done. You are in good Hands my dear. graceinlve <graceinlve@...> wrote: Hi Everyone, It's me again. I thought I might ask for a little prayer back-up. July 20th will be a year since I got my breast implants. I've been sick for almost 10 months now. I really would like to make plans for explant at the end of July but there seems to be an obstacle at every turn. My Dad was diagnosed with severe Dementia last week and has been in the hospital. He is

coming home today. This has been really hard on my Mother especially since the Dr. told her she would not be able to leave him alone. Not only is this bad news for him and the rest of the family, but it makes explant surgery impossible because we can't travel to Atlanta and leave him home alone in Florida. We can't afford home care either. My Mom was the only one I had to depend on to make this trip and help me with recovery. I'm afraid to find another Plastic Surgeon close to home who may not be experienced with this surgery. So I don't know what my next step should be. And I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. If anyone is reading this please say a prayer for me and my family. Thanks,Liz

Liz,

Prayers are coming your way. I totally understand how you feel. I got sick shortly after getting implants. I had them for a little over a year. I felt the same way you did. I turned to God for answers and he gave them to me. I found support sites and realized all my symptoms were the same as other women who were sick from there implants. I listened to God's answer I went to Dr. Kolb a month ago had them removed. I feel better and some of my symptoms left me shortly after explant. Even though all my symptoms are not gone, they are more tolerable than before with implants. I had 33 symptoms in all when I got them removed. I was glad to lose most of them shortly after explant believe me. God will send you in the direction you need to go. Follow your heart and don't look back. I did and it worked for me. I thank God for support groups warning women and the few experienced Dr.'s who remove them the proper way. I am happy I had mine removed. I had most of my symptoms on my right side, when Dr. Kolb took out my implants the right one was leaking and had a big piece of my tissue stuck in the port and stuff was floating around in the implant. I am so Thankful God sent me to the proper care, it was worth every penny to find out the truth and get proper treatment finally after going to so many doctors. I will pray for you Liz and Good Luck with explant. You are making the right decision getting those toxic bags out of your body.

Sincerely,

Donna

I have seen a Plastic Surgeon locally but he's basically a boob

doctor. In fact, he is on the Silcone advisory board. He doesn't

even need to place a woman in the category of reconstruction to

do it either. He has full consent. That scares me.

I was surprized though that he was sympathetic about my

condition and felt that I should see an endrocrinologist to rule

out any other causes. He seemed like a very nice, intelligent

man. But how could I know for sure he would do the job right. I

want this to be over once and for all. I don't need problems later

on down the road.

Liz,

You bet we'll be praying for you . . . Where are you located? Maybe we can find a good doc close by. The surgery itself isn't that bad.

I know your mother is thankful to have you there to help with your father . . . Is he on Medicare yet? . . . They may be able to help you with home care.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

I remember someone talking about a doctor in Florida - maybe Patty,

Molly, or Lynda?

Liz, I'm very sorry that your Dad is sick, and the situation might

sound impossible to you, but somehow things fall into place when you

least expect them to. I'll pray for you and hope that the solution

presents itself to you.

Best wishes,

Sis

Liz,

Believe it or not, being on that board might be in your favor . . . He must take proper care of the women under his care, or he stands to lose that position. . . I'd have a long talk with him about what you need . . . disregard his opinions regarding implants . . . and notice how much attention he gives to YOUR needs.

If he tries to scare you into getting new implants, or being deformed, he's definitely NOT your man though. If he tries to tell you that you don't need a capsulectomy, or that that he can't/won't do an en bloc procedure, he's not the man either. See what he says about putting in drains . . . He should be agreeable!

Hugs,

Rogene

Liz, I hope that your prayers have been heard! I am trying to catch up on posts, so I apologize if you have already updated us on your situation. I am really sorry you have gone through so many struggles....how is your family? And did you get your explant scheduled? Pattygraceinlve <graceinlve@...> wrote: Hi Everyone, It's me again.
