Guest guest
Do they use clips for RP? I never thought to ask. If they do can you have an MRI? I'm surprised my surgeon never said anything. I will have to ask him next time I go. Rick Re: Titanium clips used during prostatectomy surgery? During my six-month checkup today with my urolgist, I asked the doctor if he uses titanium surgical clips during a prostatectomy. He stated that one of the advantages of the Perineal Prostatectomy is that, "Usually, NO titanium clips are required". The perineal approach uses dissolvable internal sutures. This is in contrast to the retropubic approach, where several dozen clips may be left in the patient. To me, this is an important, yet little talked about issue.
