Kefir and blood sugar

Hi ladies,

I wanted to share some encouraging news with you about kefir. Some of you know that I have been drinking it (my homemade version with real grains and raw milk) for several months, and have shared my wildly growing grains with my family and a few others. My mother, who suffers from some as yet unnamed autoimmune disease after having knee replacement surgery, as well as digestive upsets, started it and immediately began feeling a sense of calm and peace and wellbeing in her life. It was definitely beneficial to her. My dad was a little harder to convince, but he finally started it too. My dad has diabetes and digestive issues as well.

The good news that I wanted to share is that since my dad has started the kefir, his need for insulin has dropped dramatically. At first he was not willing to credit the kefir with his lowered insulin needs, but since there is nothing else in his life that has changed, and this lower insulin requirement has continued unexplained, there is no other explanation than the kefir. When I sent him an article regarding probiotics and their protective effect against diabetes, he was surprised and was able to finally realize the benefits the kefir was providing him. He is now one of the most vocal supporters of it. Both he and my mother are sharing kefir testimonies with lots of their friends.

Just wanted to share that! If you have diabetes, if it runs in your family, or if you have been struggling with high blood sugar since implants, please consider getting some kefir grains and begin consuming homemade kefir on a regular basis. I believe you will be grateful for the benefits you will experience. At least check into it! This is one article that I found about a probiotic dietary staple.
