New summary of large ERSPC study posted in Files section

In the Files section, under "Roemeling.2007.Screening and AS.pdf", I've posted a pdf of the report "Screening for Prostate Cancer, Intermediate Outcome Meaures and Active Surveillance", a 198-page summar of results from the very large ongoing ERSPC (European Randomized study of Screening for Prostate Cancer).

Included are some previously published results of the ERSPC study in various medical journals (and some have been summarized in past posts on this and other prostate cancer lists). The current report, although large, is a convenient single compilation of the results to date.

With over 42,000 men involved, this is the largest long-term trial randomizing men between screened and non-screened populations and comparisons of the outcomes of various treatments, including deferred treatment by Active Surveillance.
